Today, we are going to talk about the Bridge Pavilion, in Zaragoza, which we visited during the Christmas holidays. This stunning construction was design by the architect Zaha Hadid for the Universal Exposition of 2008, whose main theme was "Water and Sustainable Development". This Pavilion crosses the river Ebro, and it is the only inhabited bridge in Spain. The pavilion is organized around four main capsules that function as structural elements and as space delimiters. The interiors vary between closed spaces, with soft lighting, focused on the exhibited works, and open areas, naturally ventilated and with views of the river. The upper part of the bridge is covered by smooth panels of different color combinations, which form a set of optical effects that remind us of shark skin.
